In the picture above is Tom Ssembera (left) rite after his baptism. He grew up on the street and was a very dangerous person. One day one of our volunteers ( Mr. Ssempebwa) met him and started to build a relationship with him. He was shocked to see that there was at least still one person who wanted to associate with him because he new every body hated him due to his bad habits.

Tom’s habits included smoking cigarette and Marijuana, steeling, pick-pocketing and doing drugs. He also hated himself. Mr. Ssempebwa introduced Tom to Step to Victory and they begun meeting occasionally to share from the word of God. He (Tom) says that he was so much touched to hear that God still loved him and wanted to build a relationship with him. He got all this from the book ( Step To Victory ) from which they were sharing.

In the process, Tom surrendered his life to Christ and joined church. (Gospel Life Church). He went a head and went through PP discipleship programs. He said that he decided to be baptized after the story about Philip and the Eunuch. Now he is a changed person and has dedicated his life sharing the good news with his street friends.
